Under the state government's ongoing "Shuddha Aahar Milawat Par War" campaign, food safety inspectors are conducting intensive inspections and gathering samples across various commercial hubs in the district. As part of this drive, a surprise enforcement raid was carried out at a prominent sweet shop located on the busy 100 Feet Road in Rajsamand town.
Surprise Raid at Aadesh Bikaner Sweets on 100 Feet Road
Led by Rajsamand Food Safety Officer Premchand Sharma, the departmental inspection team executed an unannounced inspection at Aadesh Bikaner Sweets on 100 Feet Road. During the operation, officials examined the hygiene conditions and quality parameters of various sweets stored inside the shop premises. Based on preliminary quality assessments, the inspectors collected three distinct samples of Kalakand for official testing.
Samples Sealed and Dispatched to Udaipur Food Laboratory
Following standard regulatory procedures, all three samples of Kalakand were formally sealed on-site to preserve their integrity. The sealed specimens were subsequently dispatched to the specialized state food testing laboratory in Udaipur for detailed chemical and microbiological analysis. Official legal determinations regarding product quality will depend on the final analytical results provided by the Udaipur testing facility.

The core objective of these enforcement measures is to prevent the circulation of substandard, adulterated, or unsafe sweets during the high-demand festive period. Commenting on the ongoing enforcement operations, Food Safety Officer Premchand Sharma stated that departmental teams are actively surveying sweet vendors across the district. Sharma emphasized, "Legal action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act once the report is received." He further noted that more than 20 food samples have been collected from various establishments across Rajsamand district as part of the current drive.
