By scanning the QR code with their mobile phones, devotees can instantly access comprehensive information regarding nearby designated parking zones, real time parking availability, traffic diversions, alternative travel routes, and interactive local maps. This initiative aims to assist commuters and pilgrims in planning their journey and parking arrangements prior to leaving their homes, thereby minimizing traffic congestion on congested heritage city corridors. Official schedules indicate that Janmashtami will be celebrated on 4 September, followed by a grand religious procession traversing the city on the evening of 5 September.
Digital Traffic Navigation and Real Time Parking Updates
To prevent gridlock during the festive surge, traffic authorities are relying heavily on digital solutions. Devotees heading toward central Jaipur can scan the official QR code using any smartphone. Upon scanning, users are directed to an integrated portal displaying real time status of available slots across authorized parking lots near major temple locations. As per the official schedule released by the local administration, primary Janmashtami rituals and cultural events will take place across prominent temples in Jaipur on 4 September. On 5 September, a grand ceremonial procession (Shobhayatra) will be flagged off at 4:00 PM from the Shri Govinddevji Temple complex. According to traditional customs, the procession will pass through several historical markets and major arterial roads before culminating at Mandir Shri Gopinath. The designated procession route commences from Shri Govinddevji Temple, proceeding through Jalebi Chowk, Badi Chaupar, Johari Bazaar, and Sanganeri Gate. From there, it will move through Bapu Bazaar, New Gate, Chaura Rasta, Tripolia Bazaar, and Chhoti Chaupar before entering Chandpole Bazaar. The rally will then navigate through Bagruwalon Ka Rasta and finally reach Mandir Shri Gopinath.
