The investigation into the high-profile murder of Kamla Devi Kakariya in Bhilwara has revealed a disturbing sequence of events inside the residence where the crime was committed. Just twenty-four hours after the victim was killed, the perpetrators hosted a large gathering featuring alcohol and food at the exact same property. Approximately 30 to 32 people were present at this gathering. Law enforcement authorities have now initiated a comprehensive review to question all attendees, seeking to establish whether any guest had knowledge of the violence or actively helped the accused destroy critical evidence.
Celebration at the Crime Scene and Destruction of Evidence
The party hosted inside the residence has become a central focus of the ongoing police probe. According to CO City Sajjan Singh, the suspects went to extensive lengths to conceal physical evidence on the roof where the body was set on fire. The perpetrators dug up the burned portions of the surface, applied fresh plaster to the floor, and repainted the adjacent walls with fresh whitewash to cover all soot, scorch marks, and odors. Immediately following these cover-up efforts, the suspects gathered their acquaintances and companions for a feast accompanied by alcohol, hosting around 30 to 32 people in the very same building.
Police to Question All 30 to 32 Attendees
Investigators are now moving to summon and question all 30 to 32 individuals who took part in the gathering. The primary goal of this round of questioning is to determine whether any of the visitors had any awareness of what had transpired inside the house prior to their arrival. Officers are also probing whether anyone present played a direct or indirect role in aiding the suspects, shielding the offense, or tampering with evidence. Sajjan Singh stated that should the interrogation reveal any individual's complicity, whether overt or covert, the scope of the criminal investigation will be expanded immediately to hold them accountable.
Bone Fragments Discovered Inside Drainage Channels
To recover trace evidence, police teams returned to the scene accompanied by forensic science laboratory personnel and mobile investigation units. Authorities suspected that the perpetrators might have flushed burnt remains and ashes down the household drains using water. A detailed search of the drainage lines connected to the property yielded fragmented human bone remains. These bone fragments have been secured and dispatched to a forensic laboratory for DNA testing and verification. Concurrently, investigators have secured surveillance recordings from locations along the Kothari River and adjoining routes.
Surveillance Evidence of Stolen Jewelry Transactions
The investigation has also uncovered critical material evidence linking the suspects to the sale of the victim's jewelry. Police have collected closed-circuit television recordings from the specific establishments where the stolen ornaments were liquidated. Formal statements from the individuals who engaged in these transactions have been recorded. According to police officers, the suspects are clearly visible in the surveillance footage during the financial exchanges. These visual records and transactional trails have been integrated into the official case dossier as direct evidence.
