A tragic incident has triggered shockwaves through the Bundi district of Rajasthan, where the body of a young man, missing for the past three days, was discovered in a deep water pit near his agricultural field. The deceased has been identified as Manraj, a resident of Dhanu village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Nainwa police station. The sudden and mysterious death has left the local community in grief and raised several unanswered questions, prompting the police to launch a detailed investigation into the circumstances.
Increasing Anxiety and the Search Operations
Manraj had suddenly disappeared from his home three days ago. When he failed to return after several hours, his family members began searching for him frantically across nearby areas and among relatives. Their anxiety intensified as Manraj's mobile phone remained constantly switched off, cutting off all communication. Fearing the worst, the young man's wife approached the Nainwa police station and registered a formal missing person report. Following the complaint, the police initiated search operations, looking for clues near his usual routes and scanning potential locations, though no breakthrough was achieved during the first couple of days.
Recovery of the Body from the Farm Pond
The search came to a grim end when commotion broke out in Dhanu village after a body was spotted floating in a deep, rain-harvesting farm pond located adjacent to Manraj's field. As the news spread, a large crowd of anxious villagers gathered at the spot. The local authorities were immediately alerted, and a team from the Nainwa police station rushed to the scene. With the assistance of the villagers, the police successfully retrieved the body from the deep water. The deceased was confirmed to be the missing youth, Manraj. Investigators also recovered his clothes and mobile phone from the edge of the pond, which have been taken into custody for forensic analysis.

DSP Omprakash added that the exact cause of Manraj's death will only be conclusively established once the detailed post-mortem report is received and further investigation is completed.
