The West Zone Roller Skating Competition 2026-27 was organized by the BSE Board at the SRN International School campus in Jagatpura, Jaipur. The championship drew nearly 4,000 talented participants representing three states across the West Zone. Competing in the demanding One Lap Road Race category, Nilanjana Choudhary maintained high speed, precise control, and technical poise right from the starting signal. Crossing the finish line ahead of her opponents, she secured the top position on the podium to claim the gold medal for Pali district.

When Nilanjana arrived in Pali following her tournament win, a grand felicitation ceremony was arranged by her well-wishers. During the district-level Independence Day function on August 15, Rajasthan Government Minister Jorarams Kumawat presented Nilanjana with an official commendation certificate in recognition of her outstanding performance in sports.

This West Zone gold adds another feather to Nilanjana's expanding cap of athletic honors across state, national, and international competitions. Earlier in 2026, she represented India at the International Roller Speed Skating Championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she won 1 Gold medal and 1 Bronze medal. At the national level, she bagged a Bronze medal in the 200m event and a Silver medal in the Relay race at the 25th National Speed Skating Championship held in Chennai. Previously at the state level in Udaipur, she earned a Bronze medal in the 200m category and a Silver medal in the 400m race, establishing a proven record of success across all competitive tiers.
