Creating evocative art from grains of sand is not new for Ajay Rawat, who has consistently produced striking cultural and religious installations. Just days prior to this festive creation, he sculpted an idol of folk deity Baba Ramdev out of sand, which received widespread appreciation from the public. Furthermore, Rawat had also displayed his artistic skill by carving a sand sculpture of the country's Prime Minister on the occasion of his birthday.

Rawat's sustained contribution to sand art has earned him distinguished recognitions over the years. He was previously honoured for his artistic mastery by former President Ram Nath Kovind. In addition to being conferred with the Youth Icon Award of Ajmer district, Rawat received the prestigious Maharana Sajjan Singh Samman in the field of fine arts in the year 2026.
