A terrifying display of reckless driving unfolded on Sunday late evening in Chidawa town of Jhunjhunu district, leaving pedestrians and commuters panic-stricken. A speeding car arriving from the direction of Kabutar Khana struck multiple vehicles along its path, injuring a milkman and throwing a couple off their motorcycle. The entire harrowing sequence of events was caught on closed-circuit television cameras, providing clear visuals of the chaos.
A Trail of Collisions Across Town
According to available details, the spree of accidents began in front of Gol Market situated on Khetri Road. The out-of-control car first rammed into a motorcycle, causing a young man and a woman riding it to violently crash onto the road pavement. Instead of stopping to assist the injured, the driver fled the spot at high speed. A short distance away, the vehicle struck an oncoming milkman on his motorcycle as well. The impact threw the milkman onto the asphalt, spilling all his milk across the street. Several youths standing nearby narrowly escaped being hit by the vehicle. Despite these collisions, the driver refused to halt and continued barrelling down the road at a dangerous speed.
Locals Intercept the Driver and Police Intervene
The erratic vehicle finally came to a halt near Surajgarh Morh after hitting a scooty and subsequently crashing into a camper vehicle. Following the final collision, a large crowd quickly gathered at the scene. Alert residents managed to apprehend the driver on the spot. According to local accounts, the man behind the wheel appeared heavily intoxicated. Upon receiving information, SI Balbir from the Chidawa police station arrived at the location, took the driver into custody, and seized the car, transporting both to the police station for further legal proceedings.
