Intense Security and Flag Marches in Jaipur
In the capital city, the Jaipur Commissionerate police undertook rigorous security drills, conducting flag marches and foot patrols in various sensitive zones. Particularly in the Mansarovar Circle area under Jaipur South, police personnel executed a security march to review the preparedness on the ground. Authorities aim to build confidence among voters and deter any potential disruption ahead of polling day.
Polling Logistics and Schedule in Jaipur City
Voters across 150 wards in Jaipur city will cast their ballots on September 11, with polling scheduled from 7 AM to 6 PM. To facilitate this massive exercise across 2204 polling booths, election teams will be dispatched in two distinct shifts starting from the Bhawani Niketan College of Pharmacy situated on Sikar Road.
For the morning shift, teams were summoned to report at 7 AM. This batch includes polling parties for Vidyadhar Nagar with 298 teams, Jhotwara with 243 teams, Hawa Mahal with 241 teams, Sanganer with 329 teams, and Bagru with 264 teams. Following this, the afternoon batch comprising teams for Kishanpole, Adarsh Nagar, Malviya Nagar, and Civil Lines will be dispatched to their respective polling stations.
Ruling Party Cracks Down on Internal Rebels
On the political front, the Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its disciplinary actions against leaders engaging in anti-party activities. Acting swiftly in the Ajmer, Beawar, and Nagour regions, the party expelled seven rebel members for a period of six years.
The punitive actions in Ajmer affected local figures including Arun Sharma, Neetu Mishra, सीमा गोस्वामी, Ruby Jain, and Dharmendra Singh Chauhan, among others. These strict measures were executed under the direct instructions of state party president Madan Rathore to reinforce organizational discipline.
Administrative Penalties and Relief for Poll Duty Staff
The administration has maintained zero tolerance for dereliction of duty during the election process. In Jaipur, two employees faced formal charge sheets under rule 17 CCA due to negligence in their assigned election responsibilities. Conversely, authorities in Rajsamand announced a relief measure for staff deployed on poll duty in Nathদ্বারা and Amet, declaring September 10 as an official on-duty leave.
