The second phase of voting for the Rajasthan urban body elections 2026 is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, September 11. This phase covers the Tonk Municipal Council along with four municipalities including Malpura, Diggi, Lambaharisingh, and Todaraisingh. Polling will take place from 7 AM to 6 PM. To ensure the election is conducted smoothly, fairly, and in an orderly manner, the district administration has completed all necessary arrangements. Following a final training session on Thursday, polling parties were dispatched from designated locations to their respective booths.
Administrative Preparations and Dispatch of Polling Teams
District Election Officer and Collector Tina Dabi stated that the district election office has made comprehensive arrangements for the second phase of voting. Officials were instructed to ensure that the training of polling parties, distribution of election materials, vehicle arrangements, and other essential tasks are executed in a time-bound manner so that voting proceeds without any hindrance. After the final training on Thursday, polling teams collected their EVMs and other election supplies and departed for their polling stations. The Collector has urged all eligible voters to exercise their right to franchise.
Boycott in Specific Wards and Voting Logistics
Authorities noted that elections will not be held in two wards across Tonk and Todaraisingh due to a boycott by local residents protesting against delimitation issues. Deputy District Election Officer Vinod Kumar Meena provided details regarding the dispatch process, explaining that teams were sent to their centers following final briefings on September 10.
Dispatch Centers for Polling Parties
According to the administration, polling parties for the Tonk Municipal Council were dispatched from Government Postgraduate College Tonk. Teams for Todaraisingh municipality departed from Government Higher Secondary School Todaraisingh. Meanwhile, polling personnel for Malpura, Lambaharisingh, and Diggi municipalities set out from Government Higher Secondary School Malpura to ensure timely arrival at their respective voting stations.
