In a bid to ensure that Diwali and the upcoming festivals are celebrated in a completely safe, peaceful, and harmonious environment, the Shahpura police have intensified their preparations. A crucial meeting of the CLG was convened at the Shahpura police station to review and strengthen local law and order. Presided over by station in-charge Priya Chaudhary, the high-level meeting involved detailed discussions regarding security arrangements, effective traffic management, and the preservation of communal harmony throughout the festive period.
Enhanced Vigilance in Markets and Crowded Areas
During the proceedings, station in-charge Priya Chaudhary emphasized the need for heightened vigilance across markets, major intersections, religious sites, and densely populated zones as the festive rush begins. She instructed law enforcement personnel to keep a close watch on the activities of antisocial elements to prevent any disruption to public peace. Furthermore, citizens were urged to ignore rumors and immediately report any suspicious movements or objects to the authorities. The police administration made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to compromise law and order during the celebrations.
Focus on Traffic Control and Cyber Fraud Prevention
Managing the heavy crowds expected in markets for festive shopping and ensuring smooth traffic flow will remain top priorities for the local administration. Additionally, with the surge in online shopping and digital transactions during the festive season, the risk of cyber frauds has also escalated. Addressing this concern, attendees were sensitized about the rising threat of digital scams. The public was advised not to click on unknown links, never share confidential banking details or OTPs with anyone, and promptly file complaints in the event of falling victim to a cyber scam so that timely action can be initiated.
Crackdown on Illegal Activities and Appeal for Harmony
Beyond cyber security, the meeting also stressed the importance of maintaining strict vigil to curb drug trafficking, crimes against women, and other illicit activities effectively. Station in-charge Priya Chaudhary called upon the local residents to celebrate Diwali and all upcoming festivals with mutual love, brotherhood, and harmony. She also issued a strong advisory regarding social media, urging people not to circulate misleading or objectionable content online. Citizens were encouraged to reach out to the police immediately if they encounter any issue related to public safety or law and order.
