Shreya Kumawat Represents Rajasthan at National Environment Children Parliament in Delhi Assembly

Bhilwara student Shreya Kumawat represented Rajasthan at the National Environment Children's Parliament 2026, advocating for sustainable development in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

A young student from Rajasthan took center stage at the Delhi Legislative Assembly to advocate for ecological protection during a special national gathering. Shreya Kumawat, hailing from the Shahpura area of Bhilwara district, represented her home state at the National Environment Children's Parliament 2026. She was among an elite group of 95 student delegates selected from across the country to participate in the prestigious parliamentary simulation.

Rigorous Multi-Tier Selection Across the Nation

The journey to the national assembly involved extensive competition among thousands of students enrolled in classes 8 through 12 nationwide. The selection process began with regional assessments, where evaluators shortlisted 400 top-performing participants. From that regional pool, only 95 young finalists advanced to the concluding round, securing the opportunity to voice their perspectives on a national legislative stage.

Speaking in the assembly at this age is huge, but I wonder if the grassroots work is actually solid or just good debating skills.

Ravikash Gupta@ravikash·1h ago

Reaching the assembly at that age is huge, but I seriously doubt how fast mere speeches in a session will change things on the ground.

Arjun Mehta@arjun-mehta·1h ago

Ravikash ji, you have a point, but making it to the final 95 out of 400 is no small feat either.

Kids give great speeches on big platforms at such a young age, but policymakers rarely listen to them. There is always a huge gap between paperwork speeches and ground reality.

Rohan Verma@rohan-verma·1h ago

Karan, you have a point. Kids speak brilliantly at youth forums here in UP too, but I doubt officials actually listen to them when drafting policies.
