The holy month of Sawan, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is in its concluding phase, and the devotion of Shiva worshippers has reached new heights in Bhilwara, the gateway to Mewar. The spiritual fervor in the city intensified significantly as a grand Kanwar and Kalash Yatra commenced from the-near Hathi Bhata Ashram. This massive religious procession drew immense participation, filling the entire atmosphere with chants of Har Har Mahadev and Jai Bholenath.
Massive Participation of Devotees in Bhilwara
One of the most notable features of this grand procession was the participation of 1,111 women carrying sacred kalash pots alongside 751 kanwarias. As the devoted participants marched forward carrying their kanwars, the entire region was drenched in absolute devotion. Starting from Hathi Bhata Ashram, the yatra traversed through 12 villages before culminating at the Geleshwar Mahadev Temple in Pansal. Along the entire route, various communities extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the participants, further boosting their spiritual enthusiasm.
Amarnath-Style Baba Barfani Tableau Captivates Crowds
The primary highlight of the event was the divine and magnificent decoration of Baba Barfani, created using ice on the lines of the Amarnath cave, set up at Hathi Bhata Ashram. Crowds of devotees rushed to catch a glimpse of this divine manifestation, leaving many deeply emotional. Adding to the cultural charm of the procession, camel rides and captivating performances by Kachhi Ghodi folk dance artists mesmerized onlookers and added vibrant energy to the celebration.
Jalabhishek and Mahaprasad at Geleshwar Mahadev Temple
Mahant Shri Sant Das Ji Maharaj of Hathi Bhata Ashram explained that the yatra originated from the ashram and passed through shrines located in 12 villages along the route, performing ritualistic ablutions with holy Ganga water. Upon reaching the premises of Shri Geleshwar Mahadev Temple in Pansal, a grand Maharati was conducted following the ceremonial jalabhishek. Concluding the auspicious event, mahaprasad was distributed among all the assembled Shiva devotees.
