Hailing from the Siwan district of Bihar, Mohibullah Ansari faced a struggling academic phase during his early schooling years. Matters worsened when he failed the pre-board examinations in both the 10th and 12th grades. Stung by this poor outcome, his father delivered sharp rebukes, taunting him for dreaming about top-tier technical institutions when he could not even clear basic school assessments. Instead of letting this criticism dishearten him, Ansari took his father's harsh words as a direct challenge and began meticulously addressing his academic shortcomings. Through rigorous hard work and unwavering focus, he not only successfully completed his schooling but also cracked the JEE exam to secure admission into the chemical engineering program at IIT Delhi in 2011.
Leaving a Lucrative Corporate Career for Civil Services
After earning his BTech degree from IIT Delhi, Ansari initially joined an IT firm and embarked on a promising corporate career. Yet, the glitz and glamour of corporate life failed to hold his interest because he wanted to create a meaningful impact on society and the nation at large. Driven by this larger purpose, he chose to walk away from his well-paying corporate job and dedicate himself entirely to preparing for the Union Public Service Commission examinations. Moving to New Delhi in 2015, he encountered a few early setbacks and failures along the grueling path. Refusing to give up, he persevered through the challenges and ultimately cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination on his third attempt to earn a badge in the Indian Police Service.
