Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Semicon India 2026 summit hosted at the Yashobhoomi convention center in New Delhi on the occasion of his 76th birthday. Domestic Chip Production and Global Supply
Outlining the roadmap to establish India as a global semiconductor hub during the event, the Prime Minister announced that domestically produced chips have started reaching customers both within the country and abroad. Commercial production has officially commenced at the new plants located in Mohali and Surat.
Invitation to Global Researchers and Youth
The Prime Minister appealed to researchers, innovators, and young professionals worldwide to integrate with India advanced technology ecosystem. He emphasized that the country is rapidly expanding its technological capabilities and creating expansive opportunities for global collaboration and investment in the sector.
