The police revealed that the initial interaction between Rohit Chandel and the teenage girl started online. The victim initially agreed to be friends, but things escalated when Chandel reportedly began tracking her movements and persistently trying to pursue her. The complaint states that when the minor girl noticed this intrusive behavior and tried to cut all ties, her attempts to push him away resulted in further stalking and unwanted pressure. Distressed by the situation, her family finally decided to take legal recourse.
Court Grants Police Custody Until July 13
Following his arrest, the Oshiwara police produced Rohit Chandel before a local magistrate court in Mumbai. During the court proceedings, the investigating agency requested physical custody of the actor, emphasizing the necessity of interrogating him thoroughly to uncover the exact sequence of events. After evaluating the arguments presented by both sides, the court remanded Chandel to police custody until July 13.
