Visitors and pilgrims traveling to the sacred city of Ayodhya will soon be able to discover the profound life events of Lord Ram through an immersive technological experience. The International Ram Katha Museum is actively upgrading its facilities to present key chapters of Lord Ram's divine journey using advanced display methods. Through the use of 7D visual and sensory technology, major milestones such as his birth, holy marriage, and exile will be brought alive for visitors in an unprecedented presentation format.
Complex to Feature 20 Distinct Thematic Galleries
According to Sanjeev Singh, the director of the International Ram Katha Museum, work is underway to establish a total of 20 galleries within the complex. The overarching plan focuses on immersing devotees into the world of Ram Katha from the very moment they set foot inside the building. After passing through the entrance gate, reception desk, and the dedicated souvenir block, visitors will embark on a chronological path through the sacred life narrative of Lord Ram.
Introductory Exhibition Space Titled 'Ramotsav'
Upon stepping inside the main building, visitors will first arrive at an exhibition space designated as the 'Ramotsav' gallery. This opening hall highlights three defining celebratory milestones from the life journey of Lord Ram. The presentation begins with his divine appearance on earth, celebrated as Ram Navami. The visual narrative then transitions into the sacred wedding ceremony of Lord Ram and Mata Sita, before concluding with his triumphant return to Ayodhya following the completion of his exile, which marked the historic celebration of Deepotsav.
Showcasing the Enduring Bond Between Ayodhya and Lord Ram
Museum Director Sanjeev Singh explained that the relationship between Lord Ram and the holy city of Ayodhya is deeply personal and historic. Ayodhya served as a central backdrop across pivotal stages of his earthly journey. Lord Ram spent his early days in the city following his birth, brought Mata Sita here after their wedding ceremony, and once again returned to reign over Ayodhya after enduring the fourteen-year period of exile. These significant junctures in his path continue to be celebrated as major regional festivals. Guided by this historical framework, the introductory hall was officially named Ramotsav, offering travelers a chance to reflect on the lasting connection between Lord Ram's path and Ayodhya's festive traditions.
Full Renovation Scheduled for Completion in Eight to Nine Months
Construction and interior development work are progressing simultaneously across all 20 galleries. The physical preparation, structural design, and offline presentation setups are currently being executed by the project teams. Director Sanjeev Singh indicated that the comprehensive museum initiative will require an estimated 8 to 9 months to reach full completion. Once open to the public, the venue will blend spiritual devotion with history, culture, and high-tech visualization. The implementation of 7D effects across narratives ranging from his birth to his exile will provide visitors with an entirely fresh medium through which to witness the epic story.
