BJP MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan Shukla, delivered a sharp counter-attack against two prominent opposition leaders, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, over their recent public statements. The remarks came during his visit to Lalit Narayan Mishra Hospital in Gorakhpur, where he also inaugurated a new 15-bed ICU ward.
Ravi Kishan Tells Kejriwal to Back Off
Arvind Kejriwal had made a statement promising to build a temple dedicated to Mata Sita and Luv Kush during Amrit Kaal. Ravi Kishan told him plainly not to worry about it. He said that when their government comes to power, they will build the temple themselves, and Kejriwal has no business concerning himself with the matter.
A Direct Reply to Akhilesh Yadav
SP National President Akhilesh Yadav had claimed that if voters chose BJP this time around, they would end up losing their right to vote. Ravi Kishan brushed this aside as textbook pre-election rhetoric, saying this is exactly what politicians do the moment elections draw near. He told voters to simply wait for the polls, saying the people of UP will give their own fitting reply at the ballot box.
Yogi Adityanath: The Undisputed Face of Uttar Pradesh
Ravi Kishan was emphatic on the question of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that there is no bigger political face in Uttar Pradesh today. He stressed this is not just his own view but something the people of the state themselves are saying. According to him, the Chief Minister is the pride, honour and identity of all 26 crore residents of UP. He predicted with full confidence that BJP will secure a massive majority in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and return to form the government.
15-Bed ICU Ward Opened at Gorakhpur Hospital
During his visit to Lalit Narayan Mishra Hospital in Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan Shukla formally inaugurated the new 15-bed ICU ward. Praising the existing facilities at the railway hospital, he said his aim is to ensure that there are no shortcomings of any kind and that every patient receives the best possible treatment.
Statement Season Heats Up Ahead of Elections
Ravi Kishan observed that it is a familiar pattern for opposition leaders to ramp up their statements the closer elections get, but said the people of Uttar Pradesh are sharp enough to see through such tactics. He closed by reiterating his firm conviction that 2027 will see BJP sweep back to power in UP with an overwhelming mandate.
