A woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend inside his rented room in Khurja, Bulandshahr, in a killing that has left the Shiv Colony neighbourhood in shock. Police rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported and took the accused into custody.

According to police, the case is from the area under Khurja Nagar Kotwali. The deceased has been identified as Baby, a resident of Nehrupur village. She is said to have been in a relationship with a man named Ajit for several years. Ajit had been living in a rented house in Shiv Colony for some time. Late on Tuesday night, Baby went to his room to meet him, as she reportedly used to do often. Police say an argument broke out between the two over some issue, and it escalated dangerously within moments. Ajit allegedly attacked Baby with a knife in a fit of rage, stabbing her multiple times. The attack was so severe that she died on the spot.
As soon as police were informed, a team from Khurja Nagar Kotwali reached Shiv Colony and took Ajit into custody right at the scene. Given the seriousness of the case, a forensic team was also called in. The team examined the spot closely and collected evidence that could prove crucial to the investigation.
CO gives timeline of the incident, questioning underway
Khurja CO Shobhit Kumar said police received information about a woman's murder in Shiv Colony at around 10:30 pm. When the police team reached the spot, it emerged that Baby, from Nehrupur, frequently visited Ajit's rented room to meet him. According to the CO, an argument broke out between the two during one such visit, and Ajit, in a fit of anger, stabbed her to death. Police have taken Ajit into custody and begun questioning him to establish the real motive behind the killing.
After completing the panchnama, police sent the body to Bulandshahr district hospital for a post-mortem examination. A written complaint is being taken from the victim's family, based on which a case will be registered. Police say they are examining every aspect of the case, including the real reason for the dispute and the background of the relationship between the two.
