The Uttar Pradesh government has formally approved a proposal to designate the massive aviation facility currently under development at Jewar in Noida as the Narendra Modi International Airport. The major administrative decision was finalized during a state cabinet meeting held in Lucknow under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi. While briefing the press about the outcomes of the session, the Chief Minister announced that the prominent greenfield aviation hub will bear the name of the Prime Minister, marking a significant milestone in the state's infrastructure branding.
Cabinet Conclave Approves Crucial Infrastructure Measures
During the cabinet meeting convened in Lucknow, the council of ministers deliberated upon and cleared several key policy and developmental proposals. Following the discussions, Chief Minister Yogi addressed media personnel to disclose the formal resolution regarding the airport's official title. He explained that naming the international airport at Jewar after Narendra Modi reflects recognition of the transformative infrastructure strides being undertaken across both the nation and the northern state.
Commemorating 25 Years of Continuous Public Governance
Extending formal congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on reaching the landmark of 25 consecutive years as head of government, Chief Minister Yogi highlighted the date of October 7 as a glorious chapter in the nation's contemporary history. He characterized the quarter-century journey as an exceptional model transitioning from public service to public welfare, and from citizen participation to mutual trust. The Chief Minister also emphasized that it is a point of immense pride for Uttar Pradesh that the leader steering the country represents the state directly as an elected parliamentarian.
The Connection to Kashi and the Transformation of Uttar Pradesh
Reflecting on the personal bond between the Prime Minister and the state, Chief Minister Yogi recalled the moment in 2014 when Modi arrived in Kashi and noted that Mother Ganga had called him. That relationship, which originated with Kashi and the sacred river, has deepened steadily over time, serving as the foundational catalyst for the comprehensive revitalization of the state. He added that the unified vision of the central and state administrations, driven by a cooperative Team India spirit, has propelled Uttar Pradesh onto an unprecedented trajectory of progress.
Shift Toward Modern Governance and Law and Order
Comparing the present administrative environment with the past, the Chief Minister remarked that prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh struggled with administrative unpredictability, a pervasive sense of insecurity among citizens, and a chronic deficit of primary infrastructure. Guided by the Prime Minister's vision, the state has adopted a refreshed work culture centered on effective governance. Consequently, robust law and order, advanced infrastructure, and an investment-friendly ecosystem have emerged as the defining pillars of modern Uttar Pradesh as it scales new heights.
