A significant development has unfolded following mounting pressure regarding the alleged embezzlement of donation funds at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have formally submitted their resignations from their positions within the trust to the trust president, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. This decision followed recent events during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Ayodhya, during which Champat Rai was excluded from the Chief Minister's scheduled programs.
The Issue to be Raised in Parliament
The controversy has sparked significant political heat. Congress Member of Parliament KC Venugopal has announced his intention to raise the issue of donation theft at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. He stated that this is among the most critical issues facing the country, adding that the sentiments of crores of devotees have been hurt and the government must provide an explanation.
Assurances of Impartial Investigation
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak addressed the resignations by emphasizing that an impartial investigation will be conducted. He confirmed that an FIR has been filed and the government has issued strict instructions for stringent legal action against all those responsible. Meanwhile, senior advocate Hari Shankar Jain remarked on the resignations, stating that the ongoing investigation will bring the truth to light. He noted that if a scam has occurred, no devotee of Lord Ram can support it, and there is a widespread public demand for the perpetrators to be punished.
Tight Security for Detainees in Jail
As part of the ongoing legal process, eight individuals have been sent to jail. Divisional Jail Superintendent Mukesh Kumar reported that all eight prisoners involved in the Ram Mandir donation theft case are being held in separate barracks. Extra vigilance is being maintained regarding their security, and they are being kept isolated from other inmates to ensure no interaction occurs.
