According to information provided by law enforcement officials, the incident began when a Scorpio SUV traveling from Delhi toward Bijnor encountered stray cattle on the road. In an attempt to save the animal, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The speeding Scorpio overturned and crossed over into the opposite lane, directly slamming into an Ertiga car traveling from Bijnor toward Delhi.
Simultaneously, a passerby riding a scooter was caught in the path of the crashing vehicles and became trapped underneath the wreckage. The brutal impact caused immediate chaos on the highway, with bystanders rushing to the scene to pull victims out of the crushed cars while alerting emergency authorities.
Emergency Response and Medical Condition of Victims
Upon receiving emergency alerts, police units from the local Garh Kotwali station quickly dispatched personnel to the site. Working alongside local residents, officers extracted all trapped passengers and arranged for their prompt transport to the nearest Community Health Center.
Following initial emergency treatment, medical staff referred two critically injured individuals to Meerut Medical College for specialized care.
