The state government has decided to keep October 19 as a public holiday, allowing citizens across the state to observe the important festival with ease. Such holidays during the festive season provide significant convenience to the public, and administrative preparations for the day are already underway.

Previous decisions on festive holidays

This is not the first time the government led by Yogi Adityanath has declared holidays on major festivals and occasions. Goddess worship and social media message

The sixth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Katyayani. He stated in his post that Goddess Katyayani is the destroyer of all obstacles and negative tendencies, representing the indomitable courage and unbreakable resolve of women.

Transforming safety and order in the state

Highlighting the governance over the past few years, the Chief Minister remarked on the evolution of law and order and developmental works in the state. He noted that prior to 2017, the atmosphere in the region was plagued by fear and chaos, where aspirations faced severe restrictions. However, over the past nine and a half years, a remarkable transformation has taken place, replacing fear with security and neglect with encouragement.

New infrastructure for sports and athletes

The administration has undertaken several initiatives to foster sports and support athletes across the state. From rural sports grounds and block-level mini stadiums to district-level stadiums, divisional sports colleges, and the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, robust infrastructure is being established to help daughters refine their talents.

Shining stars on international platforms

Athletes from the state have brought immense pride to the nation through their exceptional performances on international stages. Medal winners in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games are being honored with substantial cash rewards. Facilities such as direct recruitment under the policy of providing government posts for winning medals are offering financial security and recognition to players. Athletes like Parul चौधरी, Priyanka गोस्वामी, Prachi चौधरी, Annu रानी, Asmita डे, Deepti शर्मा, Meghna सिंह, Vandana कटारिया, and Divya काकरान have elevated the state's stature globally through their stellar sporting achievements.
