Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul convened a crucial review meeting with Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi in New Delhi on Tuesday, focusing on advancing the protection, well-being, and social advancement of women and children across the frontier state. The bilateral dialogue served as an institutional platform to examine ongoing welfare interventions and establish strategic priorities for reinforcing grassroots service delivery in remote northeastern communities.
Prioritising Nutrition, Early Childcare, And Empowerment
The substantive discussions revolved around modernising existing social welfare infrastructure while drafting targeted initiatives for women-led development. Both leaders addressed core developmental pillars including child protection mechanisms, nutrition enhancement, early childhood care frameworks, and expanded socio-economic avenues for adolescent girls and women. Emphasising a holistic approach, the consultation concentrated on strengthening institutional safeguards to ensure safety, personal welfare, and sustained progress for vulnerable demographics throughout Arunachal Pradesh.
Valuing Frontline Workers And Grassroots Delivery
Reaffirming the state administration's resolve to translate policy objectives into tangible community outcomes, Pul highlighted the necessity of delivering welfare benefits directly to village-level beneficiaries. She formally conveyed appreciation to the Union Ministry for continuous measures aimed at acknowledging Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers, and ASHA Didis. These frontline professionals remain instrumental in driving primary healthcare, nutritional monitoring, and community outreach in challenging terrains.
Union Ministry Assures Comprehensive Backing
During the interaction, Union Minister Annapurna Devi commended Arunachal Pradesh for recently organising the Angan Milan Sewa Sammelan, a dedicated gathering celebrating Anganwadi Workers and ASHA Didis. She acknowledged the defining contribution of grassroots personnel in improving women and child welfare delivery benchmarks. Devi extended assurances of comprehensive central cooperation and resource alignment to resolve specific regional concerns, prompting Pul to express gratitude across social platforms for the continued guidance and partnership provided by the central government.
