Early Morning Search for Lost Cattle Turns Fatal

A group of villagers from Takiya Tola had set out in the early hours to search for their lost buffalo. Due to the early hour, darkness and haze enveloped the fields, severely impairing visibility. Unaware of the danger lying ahead, the group stepped into the paddy field where bare wires carrying strong electrical currents were laid out. The high-voltage shock was so intense that Islam Mansoori, his wife Rubaida Khatoon, and another resident named Asmat Ali died on the spot.

The sudden jolt caused panic, and cries for help alerted nearby residents, who rushed to the scene immediately. Two to three fellow villagers who suffered severe burn injuries were quickly rescued and transported to a nearby medical facility, where they are currently undergoing treatment. The untimely demise of three villagers, including a husband and wife, has plunged Takiya Tola and adjoining settlements into deep mourning, leaving families devastated and neighbors gripped by sorrow and anger.

Wild Boars Found Dead as Police Probe Illegal Electric Fencing

Two wild boars were also found dead at the site alongside the victims. Clarifying the primary findings, Bairgania Station House Officer Arvind Giri stated that the electrical wire had been laid across the field to protect crops from wild boars, which inadvertently led to the death of the three individuals. Police officials have initiated an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the wiring, including fixing responsibility on those who installed the hazardous live connection.
