In a major move to solidify its competitive footprint across India's fast-moving consumer goods sector, Reliance Consumer Products Limited has announced a significant expansion of its packaged food operations. The FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited introduced nine distinct biscuit variants under its homegrown Independence label, designed to serve both daily household snacking needs and festive occasions.
Strategic Rollout Across Tamil Nadu
The company made the entire new range commercially available across retail outlets in Tamil Nadu starting November 2. Tamil Nadu serves as a cornerstone market for the business, where enhanced regional manufacturing capabilities are slated to help the enterprise scale its distribution reach and connect with a broader consumer base across urban and rural pockets alike.
Diverse Portfolio Featuring 28 New SKUs
Through this market expansion, RCPL aims to accelerate the growth of its biscuit business by leveraging affordable price points, a diversified selection, and extensive retail distribution channels. The rollout incorporates 28 fresh SKUs across diverse consumer segments. The nine newly unveiled options feature Independence Glucose Boost, Independence Butter Bliss, Independence Marie Prime, Independence Milky Power, and Independence Power Up. To cater to sweet and cream-filled biscuit preferences, the range also includes Independence Creamyum Choco, Independence Creamyum Orange, Independence Choco Bourbon, and Independence Choco Vanilla and Chocolate.
