Program Eligibility and Excluded Courses
The university administration has laid down comprehensive norms outlining which students qualify for this relief package. The scheme is specifically tailored for full-time regular students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across various departments, faculties, and institutions directly affiliated with the university. The primary objective is to direct institutional funds toward scholars enrolled in conventional, daily on-campus education.
Certain academic streams and departments remain outside the preview of this scheme. Candidates enrolled via the School of Open Learning and the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board are not permitted to submit applications under this program. Furthermore, candidates pursuing BTech programs (with the exception of the Sister Innovation Centre), students registered in the five-year integrated law program, and individuals governed by select constituent college regulations are barred from claiming this benefit. Additionally, scholars who received an Essential Repeat classification in their previous semester or annual examination will not be eligible for consideration.
Income Brackets and Entitled Relief Limits
To allocate resources equitably and prioritize those with the greatest economic hardship, the administration has split the financial assistance structure into two distinct categories based on documented annual household income.
- Category One (Full Tuition Exemption): Scholars whose total family earnings do not exceed 4 lakh rupees per year are entitled to a complete 100 percent waiver on their fee. The financial concession is capped at either the actual institutional fee paid or a maximum sum of 15,000 rupees, whichever figure is lower.
- Category Two (Fifty Percent Fee Relief): Households with an annual income spanning between 4.1 lakh rupees and 8 lakh rupees qualify for a 50 percent reduction in tuition charges. Under this secondary bracket, the institutional grant is restricted to an upper ceiling of 10,000 rupees.
Mandatory Documentation and Banking Formalities
Eligible applicants must gather and verify a set of official records prior to completing their formal submission. The university requires an authentic family income certificate issued for the 2025-26 financial year, or in its place, a recognized EWS or OBC-NCL credential. Supporting financial documentation must include copies of PAN cards along with Income Tax Return acknowledgments for parents and unmarried siblings. Academic verification requires the submission of marks sheets from the most recent qualifying examination and the official receipt of the latest university fee deposit.
Because the approved subsidy will be disbursed directly via bank transfer, students must submit a self-attested photocopy of their bank passbook's front page or a canceled cheque. The designated account must stand exclusively in the student's own name, as third-party accounts or joint arrangements with non-student individuals will lead to immediate rejection of the disbursement.
