Teaching aspirants across Uttar Pradesh have received additional time to complete their documentation for ongoing government school vacancies. Under notification 05/2026, the state has pushed back the registration deadline for assistant teachers across urban basic education primary institutes and partially aided primary wings attached to secondary schooling departments. Applicants can now submit their credentials until November 4, 2026. For candidates needing to rectify discrepancies or modify submitted entries, the correction facility will remain accessible until November 7, 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission announced these operational changes on October 28, 2026.
Administrative Action Follows High Court Directive
The revised schedule and admission criteria stem directly from recent legal and departmental rulings. The adjustment complies with judicial orders passed on October 24, 2026, by the Allahabad High Court regarding petition number A No.-16588/2026. Following that verdict, the Uttar Pradesh government secondary education section-5 issued formal compliance instructions on October 27, 2026, prompting the commission to broaden access for prospective instructors.
Inclusion of BEd and BElEd Qualifications
Substantial modifications have been integrated into the prescribed eligibility profile for assistant teachers in attached primary institutions. Aspiring educators holding BEd and BElEd credentials are now officially eligible to contest these posts. Furthermore, the authorities have approved the four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education qualification obtained through the National Institute of Open Schooling with Rehabilitation Council of India endorsement. This adjustment provides thousands of previously excluded teaching diploma holders an opportunity to enter the competitive selection pool.
Written Examination Schedule Retains Original Dates
While administrative dates and qualifications have evolved, the testing timeline remains firm and unchanged. Selection officials have confirmed that the competitive written examination will proceed strictly according to the prior timetable on December 3 and 4, 2026. Because no delay has been granted for the written screening, participating candidates are encouraged to quickly finalize their application updates and channel their remaining weeks into academic preparation.
