The standout story belongs to Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu, who has climbed to the best rating of her career.
Athapaththu reaches a career-high spot
In the ICC Women's T20I batters' rankings, Chamari Athapaththu has moved up to sixth place, the highest position she has held so far. Knocks of 39 in the first match and 40 in the second against Pakistan powered her one-place rise. That climb came at the cost of India's Shafali Verma, who slipped one spot to seventh. Australia's Beth Mooney continues to hold the top spot among T20I batters. Mooney recently claimed the Player of the Series award for her performances at the Women's T20 World Cup, and that form is still reflected at the top of the rankings table.
Three Indians inside the top ten
Three Indian batters currently feature in the top ten of the T20I rankings. Smriti Mandhana sits third, while Shafali Verma has dropped to seventh after Athapaththu's rise. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur holds the tenth spot among T20I batters. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's young batter Imesha Dulani produced the biggest jump of all. After an unbeaten 101 in the first T20I against Pakistan, she leapt 33 places to reach 23rd, the best ranking of her career so far.
Harmanpreet moves up in ODI rankings
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur also gained ground in the ODI batters' rankings, rising one place to ninth and pushing Pakistan's Sidra Ameen down to tenth. Among ODI bowlers, Pakistan's Nashra Sandhu picked up three places to reach tenth. Australia's Alana King, however, remains firmly at number one on the ODI bowlers' list. Deepti Sharma is the only Indian bowler inside the top ten ODI bowlers, holding ninth place with 614 rating points.
What the shifts really mean
