Comedian Tim Heidecker is turning his sharp satirical eye toward one of the biggest names in modern broadcasting. Having previously steered an operation parodying Alex Jones by mimicking his guttural, paranoid bluster to probe whether Jones literally exploded inside his vehicle after consuming too much Whataburger, Heidecker continues reshaping the former Infowars footprint into an irreverent comedy network reminiscent of Adult Swim. His latest target is Joe Rogan, the prominent bro podcaster whose winding, freewheeling, and frequently misguided conversations with figures ranging from Vice President JD Vance to Yakov Smirnoff have kept The Joe Rogan Experience dominating podcast charts for years.
Debut Episode Premieres Thursday Evening
The companion show, titled The Tim Heidecker Podcast, makes its debut at 8 pm ET on Thursday night. The premiere installment dives straight into the hallmarks of manosphere commentary, featuring relentless venting about pronouns, wild and foolish speculation regarding artificial intelligence, and endorsements of an absurd health supplement called Crab Salts, which allegedly induces severe headaches and loud shouting fits. A representative for Rogan did not immediately respond to an inquiry seeking comment on the parody.
Reviving a Viral Concept from 2021
This is not Heidecker's first foray into skewering Rogan's disjointed interviewing habits. Back in 2021, he released a wildly popular mock broadcast advertised as a 12-hour epic, which in truth was a single hour of footage repeated a dozen times. That mock show tackled favorite bro-science motifs such as psychedelic drugs, cancel culture, and whether Dwayne The Rock Johnson might mount a campaign for the presidency. Returning as featured guests for the new installment are comedy writers and Onion contributors Rajat Suresh and Jeremy Levick, who reprise their roles as self-styled pundits on cultural flashpoints. The comedic duo previously established their reputation for crafting deadpan online parodies, famously enlisting actor Justin Theroux into an elaborate spoof of a Hollywood Reporter actors roundtable.
From Woke Tenets to Scottish Wrestling
During a debate over diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the debut episode, Levick delivers a straight-faced assessment of contemporary culture, remarking that society has essentially replaced traditional Christian faith with the ten commandments of woke ideology. From there, the panel wanders into bizarre complaints regarding grown men with beards disguising themselves as fairy-tale princesses to visit Disneyland. The absurdity peaks when Heidecker abruptly cuts across the conversation to reveal that he has arranged an upcoming weekend trip to Glasgow specifically to partake in Scotch wrestling.
In 2026, satirizing the conservative media landscape presents a unique artistic hurdle, given how mainstream factual inaccuracies and eccentric health cures have already become. Yet Heidecker demonstrates a knack for reflecting these extremes, ensuring he will have plenty of grifters and conspiratorial figures left to lampoon once his turn as a Rogan-style host concludes. At the very least, channeling these new personalities should spare his vocal cords the grueling rasp required to impersonate Alex Jones.
