A festive gathering in northwest Delhi turned into a scene of terror when a ninth-grade school student was brutally stabbed to death in the Pitampura area. The fatal encounter took place during a local Durga idol immersion procession, leaving another youth severely injured. The wounded youth was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where doctors are continuing his treatment. Online Disagreement Escalates into Lethal Violence
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the violent attack was triggered by a bitter feud originating on Instagram. An argument had reportedly erupted over a comment posted on the social media platform, creating persistent hostility between the involved youths. This virtual disagreement took a deadly physical turn when the suspects spotted the victim amidst the ceremonial crowd. Eyewitnesses stated that a group of four to five young men, all wearing masks to disguise their identities, ambushed the student without warning.

The crime occurred in the FP Block of Pitampura while residents were participating in the music and dancing of the immersion rally. Exploiting the noise and high density of the gathering, the assailants targeted the teenager, launching repeated strikes with sharp knives.
