Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi apologises
Seeing the disappointment among those who could not register, Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi posted on social media to apologise. He explained that the response from young people was so overwhelming the moment the registration link opened that every seat was taken within a short span of time. Sanghavi praised the enthusiasm shown by the youth and said efforts were being made on a war footing to expand capacity so that more young people could be included in the programme.

Young people on the waiting list will continue to receive updates on the arrangements and details related to the event. The organisers have also assured that necessary steps are being taken to accommodate as many youths as possible, so that their enthusiasm does not go to waste.
MP Hemang Joshi cites huge excitement over PM's welcome
Vadodara's Member of Parliament, Dr Hemang Joshi, also released a video message stating that there is tremendous enthusiasm among the youth over welcoming Prime Minister Modi. Meanwhile, the municipal commissioner confirmed that registration on BookMyShow began at 10:30 am and went completely housefull within just an hour.
Foundation stone for development projects worth crores
On September 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several development projects worth crores of rupees linked to Vadodara and its surrounding areas.
