Upon her touchdown at the Bilaspur helipad, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended a formal welcome by presenting bouquets to President Droupadi Murmu and Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Following the arrival formalities, the President joined the graduating students of the premier institute for an official group photograph marking the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bilaspur.
Upcoming Itinerary in Kullu-Manali and Travel Restrictions
Following the Bilaspur leg of her tour, President Murmu is scheduled to travel onward to Kullu and Manali, where she will stay until October 8. In view of the high-level movement, the Atal Tunnel will remain closed for approximately 16 hours, halting vehicular passage for tourists as well as local commuters. Meanwhile, regular outpatient department services at AIIMS Bilaspur were suspended on Tuesday to facilitate the visit, though all emergency healthcare operations remained fully functional.
