In this era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the landscape of education is evolving at a rapid pace. Learning is no longer confined strictly to printed pages and textbooks, as smart classrooms and computers are actively connecting students with modern technologies. Government-run educational institutions are also stepping up to promote digital learning, where children are utilizing smart classes to build their knowledge base, with female students taking significant strides forward.
Located at the district headquarters in Medininagar, KG School in Palamu is providing its female students with access to smart classrooms, smart boards, and dedicated ICT laboratories. Here, students are acquiring fundamental computer literacy while also participating in competitive ICT championships. These opportunities are equipping young learners with a solid understanding of technology, paving the way for successful careers in the digital sector of tomorrow.
Education Reaching Over Five Hundred Students
KG School Manager Anup Kaur stated that more than 500 female students are currently enrolled and receiving their education at the institution. The school offers classes ranging from sixth grade up to the twelfth grade, with specialized streams in arts, commerce, and biology available for eleventh and twelfth-grade students. Following its designation as a School of Excellence, the campus has seen a substantial expansion in its educational infrastructure. She noted that teaching is aligned with the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum, placing a strong emphasis on modern educational resources. The institution houses smart classrooms alongside an ICT laboratory, a physics laboratory, and a chemistry laboratory, allowing students to grasp complex academic subjects far more effectively.
Simplifying Studies Through Interactive Smart Boards
Anup Kaur further explained that the primary advantage of a smart classroom is that learning is not limited to verbal instructions or textbook reading; instead, subjects are visually demonstrated using digital media. Students engage with course material displayed on interactive smart boards, which assists them in comprehending difficult concepts and retaining information over longer periods. She pointed out that the introduction of smart board facilities has noticeably increased enthusiasm for learning among the students. Due to this digital approach, students display heightened engagement in classrooms, as modern technology transforms traditional education into an engaging and experiential process.
Mastering Computer Skills Inside the ICT Laboratory
ICT Lab Instructor Gaurav Kumar shared that possessing computer knowledge has become essential in today's world. From filling out online application forms to booking travel tickets and utilizing various digital services, the role of computers has expanded immensely. Inside the school's ICT lab, students receive instruction in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, internet usage, and the proper navigation of social media platforms. In addition to these basics, they are also being introduced to advanced technical disciplines such as web design. He mentioned that previously, a lack of adequate computer facilities made it difficult for children to gain practical knowledge, but the establishment of the lab now allows them to work directly on computers with confidence.
New Career Pathways in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Gaurav Kumar explained that foundational computer education proves highly beneficial for the future endeavors of these students. Building upon this knowledge, they can advance toward rewarding professional careers in fields such as software engineering, web design, and artificial intelligence in the years to come. Female students from the school are also taking part in ICT championships, giving them an ideal platform to showcase their technical comprehension and skill sets. Through comprehensive digital education, a dedicated effort is being made to prepare these young women for the technological demands of the future.
