To achieve this, the second phase will bring thirty-five additional buses, while the third phase will introduce another twenty-five buses, creating a robust and expansive transit network.
Advanced Accessibility for Disabled Passengers
One of the most remarkable features of these newly acquired air-conditioned buses is their complete commitment to disabled passenger accessibility. Traditionally, differently-abled individuals face significant hurdles when attempting to board public transport. To resolve this completely, a highly specialized and high-tech electric trolley system has been integrated directly into the design of these buses. Operating much like a mechanical lift, this trolley system can easily and safely hoist a passenger sitting in a wheelchair right from the street level and secure them comfortably inside the bus. This thoughtful inclusion guarantees that disabled individuals will no longer face any inconvenience or require external physical assistance while navigating the city with confidence.
Passenger Capacity and Charging Infrastructure

On a single complete battery charge, they can easily cover an excellent range between one hundred and fifty kilometers to one hundred and eighty kilometers. Because of this exceptional mileage, the buses will be able to complete multiple city-wide trips throughout the day without the need for constant recharging stops. To support this massive operational fleet, a sprawling one-acre plot of land in the Kathonda area has been transformed into a grand depot equipped with state-of-the-art charging infrastructure and maintenance facilities.

Keeping passenger safety and modern convenience in sharp focus, these vehicles will operate entirely as digital and smart buses. Commuters will benefit from a seamless automatic fare collection system, fully integrated with digital payment capabilities, completely eliminating the daily hassle of carrying exact change. When it comes to passenger security, the administration has left no stone unturned. High-definition CCTV cameras have been installed in every bus to monitor activities, alongside dedicated panic buttons that passengers can press instantly during emergencies. A highly accurate GPS tracking system is also on board to monitor real-time vehicle movements. Additionally, a public announcement system and real-time public information display screens are provided to keep travelers constantly informed about upcoming stops and current routes.
Extensive Coverage Across 11 Key Routes
To ensure that the inner city and its surrounding suburban areas are well-connected, authorities have carefully mapped out a total of eleven dedicated routes for these pollution-free electric buses.
