The caller vehemently objected to the administrative decision regarding the barrack allocation of his incarcerated brothers and issued severe warnings of violence. Following the alarming communication, the prison authorities alerted higher administrative officials and filed a formal police complaint at the City Kotwali police station, leading to a criminal case being registered against the fugitive criminal for obstructing official duties and criminal intimidation.
Midday WhatsApp Call Triggers High Security Alert
According to the official complaint lodged with the police, Deputy Superintendent Sunit Kumar Sharma received an unexpected WhatsApp call on his personal mobile device at around 12:49 PM on September 22, 2026. The individual on the other side identified himself as the fugitive dacoit Kalli Gurjar. During the conversation, the caller aggressively questioned the prison officer regarding why his three brothers had been shifted to different barracks within the prison complex. He bluntly warned that any further strictness or any move to transfer them to another correctional facility outside Morena would lead to grave repercussions.
The written complaint also highlights that the caller resorted to abusive language and open intimidation during the call. Disturbed by the direct threat directed at prison leadership, the deputy superintendent immediately informed the district administrative leadership as well as senior officers of the state prison department. A formal written complaint was subsequently delivered to the local City Kotwali police station at approximately 7:00 PM the same evening, initiating an official investigation into the incident.
Strict Segregation Maintained for Three Incarcerated Brothers

Investigators also note that following the killing of one of his brothers, Bunty Gurjar, in a past retaliatory clash, Kalli Gurjar has frequently sought opportunities for revenge, adding to his notoriety in the ravine belt. The joint law enforcement authorities of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have collectively announced a financial bounty of around Rs 60,000 for verified information leading to his apprehension.
