Brutal Attack Recorded on Camera in Sarola
The violent assault occurred on Thursday night at approximately 9 PM. CCTV footage from the location depicts the accused, Deepak Pal, approaching the victim discreetly from behind before launching a sudden, violent knife attack. Pal repeatedly targeted the victim's neck area with sharp blows, causing him to collapse to the ground with critical injuries. Bystanders and locals present in the vicinity fled in terror as the bloody confrontation transpired on the street.
Four-Year Affair and Relocation Attempt Sparked Fatal Dispute
According to police details, the victim was identified as Amar Pawar. Investigative findings revealed that Amar Pawar and Deepak Pal's wife had been involved in a romantic relationship for the past 4 years, which had been a persistent point of conflict between the parties involved.
The situation escalated sharply about 3 to 4 days prior to the murder, when Amar Pawar brought the woman to Sarola village with the intention of sending her away to her native state of Uttar Pradesh. Upon discovering this plan, Deepak Pal confronted Amar Pawar on Thursday evening. A heated argument erupted between the two men. As the dispute intensified, Deepak Pal pulled out a knife in a fit of rage and repeatedly stabbed Amar Pawar in the neck. Owing to heavy blood loss and severe wounds, Amar Pawar died on the spot before medical aid could arrive.
Police Swiftly Arrest Accused and Register FIR
Following the incident, law enforcement personnel from the Rajgad police station arrived at the scene to secure the area and begin their investigation. Senior Police Inspector Santosh Jadhav confirmed that preliminary inquiries clearly indicate the illicit affair and the disagreement over sending the woman away as the primary motives behind the homicide.
The police acted swiftly to take Deepak Pal into custody. A formal murder case has been registered at the Rajgad police station based on a complaint lodged by 33-year-old Amit Jagannath Pawar, a resident of Khandala in Satara district. Law enforcement officials have seized the CCTV video as key physical evidence while continuing to probe all remaining aspects of the case.
