In Maharashtra's Gondia district, a speeding truck slammed head-on into a Bolero vehicle carrying laborers late on Monday night, killing 6 people, including a 3-year-old child, on the spot and leaving 7 others seriously injured. The crash took place on the Gondia-Balaghat state highway near Nagra village, under the jurisdiction of Gondia Rural police station, roughly 5 kilometres from Gondia city.

Families were headed to Telangana in search of work

According to police, the laborers involved in the crash belonged to different villages in the Kirnapur and Lanji tehsil areas of Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district.
