Reliance Industries subsidiary Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) is scheduled to make its official debut on domestic stock exchanges on Wednesday, October 28. The company concluded one of the most successful public offerings in Indian history, having issued 27 crore fresh equity shares at an issue price of 1119 rupees apiece, translating to an overall enterprise valuation of 10.3 lakh crore rupees. Trading in the company's shares will commence across both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday, October 28.
Fourth Largest Corporation by Market Capitalisation
Based on its issue pricing, Jio Platforms Limited immediately establishes itself as the fourth most valuable company in India. It ranks directly behind parent firm Reliance Industries at 16.2 lakh crore rupees, Bharti Airtel at 12.2 lakh crore rupees, and HDFC Bank at 10.6 lakh crore rupees. This marks an unprecedented milestone in the domestic capital markets, representing the very first time an Indian corporation has executed an initial public offering above the 10 lakh crore rupee valuation threshold.
Potential Listing Gains and 20 Percent Premium
Robust subscription figures alongside grey market trends indicate strong prospects for the equity to begin trading above its allotment price. Should the shares open at a 20 percent premium over the offer price, reaching approximately 1340 rupees, the company's total market capitalisation will surpass 12.3 lakh crore rupees. Under that scenario, Jio Platforms Limited would overtake Bharti Airtel on day one to claim the position of the second most valuable listed firm in the country.
Reliance Group Eyes 30 Trillion Rupee Milestone
If the stock secures a second-place standing right beneath its parent company, it will mark an unprecedented achievement for the conglomerate. Factoring in base issue numbers alone, the combined market valuation of Reliance Industries and Jio Platforms Limited establishes the Mukesh Ambani-led group as India's most valuable corporate entity at over 27 lakh crore rupees. A listing day surge toward the 20 percent premium mark could push the conglomerate's collective market value close to 30 lakh crore rupees, the highest level ever recorded by any business house in the nation.
