A chilling crime has surfaced from the Mehandipur Balaji police station jurisdiction in Rajasthan's Dausa district, where the body of an unidentified woman was discovered on Monday in the hills and forested terrain near the Mora Mata Temple in Brahmbad village, causing widespread panic in the area. Upon receiving information about the grim discovery, local law enforcement units were jolted into action and rushed to the scene immediately. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, senior police officials were briefed about the sequence of events, prompting higher-ranking officers to also visit the crime scene to inspect the developments firsthand.
Based on initial observations, law enforcement authorities have strongly suspected that the victim was subjected to a brutal homicide. Responding promptly to the alert, Mehandipur Balaji station house officer Sachin Sharma arrived at the location along with a police contingent and conducted a meticulous inspection of the area. Given the high-profile and sensitive nature of the case, Bandikui DSP Lakshmikant Sharma also reached the spot to assess theground reality. To ensure a thorough investigation, the police summoned specialized FSL and MOU teams to the crime scene. These expert teams collected crucial physical evidence and forensic traces to jumpstart the probe. According to police officials, preliminary findings from the scene indicate clear evidence that the woman's throat was slit. Furthermore, findings reveal that her head was battered and crushed using heavy stones.
Suspicious Motorbike Riders Spotted by Locals
In connection with the tragic incident, local villagers provided vital clues and information to the police. According to the accounts shared by residents, two young men were seen riding a motorcycle while bringing a woman along toward the hills of the Mora Mata Temple. After a short while, both youths returned on the motorcycle, but this time, the woman was noticeably missing from the vehicle. Sensing something amiss, local women intercepted the bike-riding youths and questioned them regarding the whereabouts of the woman.
When confronted by the local residents, the two youths gave evasive answers, claiming that they were returning from Mehandipur Balaji after finishing some personal work and that the woman was still present at the Mora Mata Temple. The unconvincing and suspicious replies raised deep suspicions among the local women, who immediately alerted other residents of the vicinity. Consequently, a group of local youths and villagers hiked up the hill to search for the missing woman.
Police Investigation and Search for Identity
During their search in the rugged terrain, the local youths spotted the lifeless body of the woman and immediately notified the police. Upon receiving the call, the police team secured the perimeter of the crime scene and initiated a formal investigation. According to the police, the deceased has not yet been identified, and frantic efforts are underway to establish her identity. Once her identity is confirmed, authorities plan to track down her family members while simultaneously investigating how she reached the remote hill and what exact relationship she shared with the youths allegedly accompanying her.
Station House Officer Sachin Sharma stated that prima facie it appears to be a clear case of murder. Physical evidence gathered from the spot shows signs of the victim's throat being slashed and her head being battered with heavy stones. At present, the police are questioning local residents and gathering intelligence from the surrounding areas. The role of the two motorbike-riding youths is also being scrutinized from all possible angles. Further legal action will be determined based on the forensic evidence provided by the FSL and the final autopsy report. As of now, the formal identification of the deceased and the precise motives behind the murder remain under investigation as authorities work to crack the case.
