A fresh series of insurgent actions has targeted Pakistani military installations and critical infrastructure across Balochistan and Sindh provinces. Multiple Baloch militant organizations have claimed responsibility for ambushes, bombings, and attacks on energy transmission systems, asserting that several security personnel were killed and injured during the operations.
Remote Blast Targets Military Checkpost in Bolan
The United Baloch Army (UBA) claimed responsibility for a targeted strike against security forces in the Bolan region of Balochistan. According to the group, fighters detonated a remote-controlled explosive device aimed at a Pakistani military checkpost in the Daraj Beet area on Monday. The explosion resulted in the deaths of four military personnel, while another soldier sustained critical injuries.
UBA spokesperson Mazar Baloch stated that insurgent scouts had been actively monitoring security force movements between the Daraj Beet and Panjra Bridge checkposts prior to the attack. Through this surveillance, the group gathered detailed intelligence regarding military convoy schedules and troop routines before launching the ambush.
Power Grid Infrastructure and Government Facility Blown Up
Infrastructure in Balochistan has also faced repeated attacks by militant groups. The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) stated that its fighters targeted high-voltage electrical infrastructure near Chatter in Nasirabad district on Tuesday night. Explosives placed on two 220 kV power transmission towers caused massive structural damage to both facilities, disrupting electrical supply line networks in the area.
The same organization also claimed an earlier attack on August 9, in which an agriculture department office in the Dhadar area of Kachhi district was destroyed using explosive charges. BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch alleged that the facility was being utilized to execute policies detrimental to Balochistan's local agricultural sector.
Widespread Strikes Claimed Across Balochistan
Earlier in the week, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) issued a statement claiming responsibility for 38 coordinated attacks against security forces throughout Balochistan. The group asserted that these strikes led to the deaths of 32 military personnel and affiliated operatives, alongside numerous injuries.
Pakistani military and government authorities have not issued any official confirmation or public statement regarding the claims made by the militant organizations.
