Political activity has heated up significantly regarding the upcoming Baran Municipal Council elections. To secure a firm victory in the electoral battle, the Bharatiya Janata Party has kicked off its campaign preparations in full swing. The party had invited applications from individuals aspiring to run for the councillor position. Such remarkable enthusiasm was witnessed among party workers that, within a span of just two days, a higher-than-expected number of applications was received by the city president at the MP's office.
According to party sources, a massive gathering of workers was observed right after the ticket application process commenced. A total of 314 aspirants submitted their applications to the city president over the past two days alone. The arrival of such a large volume of applications clearly indicates that local party workers share an intense level of enthusiasm and competitive spirit regarding contesting the election. Every single contender is putting in maximum effort to secure a ticket from their respective ward.
Application Screening and Selection Process
BJP spokesperson Yogesh Rajora informed the media that all 314 received applications will be forwarded to the party leadership for the upcoming procedure. At the organizational level, the party will closely evaluate every single aspirant based on their ground-level activity, public outreach, loyalty and role within the organization, social acceptance, and overall electoral viability. Following this comprehensive review, the primary objective of the party will be to select strong and winning candidates to achieve the best possible results in the election.
Ward-Level Surveys and Final Decision by the Selection Committee
To maintain absolute transparency in the ticket distribution process, the BJP is currently conducting both confidential and open surveys across various wards. Based on these grassroots survey reports and organizational feedback, the party's authorized selection committee will deliberate on all aspects. Subsequently, the selection committee will make the final decision regarding the official candidates for the councillor positions.
