Addressing recent statements by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah regarding student demonstrations, Kangana Ranaut argued that prominent figures in the entertainment world have consistently shown selective concern. She recalled that during instances when public safety near Parliament was compromised or when elected representatives faced home blockades, leading industry voices remained silent. She questioned why commentators who express quick solidarity with protests at Jantar Mantar maintain total silence on atrocities faced by innocent children in Jharkhand, asking whether those children are not part of the younger generation.
Furthermore, Kangana Ranaut questioned what she described as a persistent affinity toward Pakistan among certain circles in Bollywood decades after partition. She stated that such sentiments frequently surface in feature films, public interviews, and formal statements. According to her, the film fraternity owes a clear explanation to the nation regarding these priorities, asserting that double standards can no longer pass without scrutiny.
Critique of Parliamentary Conduct and Opposition Leadership
Turning her focus to parliamentary proceedings, the BJP MP criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of diminishing the gravity of the nation's highest legislative institution. Pointing out what she termed a clear contradiction, she highlighted how opposition leaders demand detailed answers from Home Minister Amit Shah yet decline to remain present in the house when the minister rises to reply.
Kangana Ranaut claimed that such conduct weakens democratic accountability and could mark a declining trajectory for opposition leadership. She emphasized that the Indian electorate delivered a decisive third consecutive mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite this clear verdict, she alleged that attempts are being made to foster instability in coordination with external influences such as George Soros.
