Ayodhya: Tensions and administrative activity within the Ram Mandir Trust have reached a critical point following recent controversies regarding donation offerings. In the wake of a formal letter issued by Champat Rai and his subsequent written statement submitted to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), internal discussions among the trustees have intensified. At 7:15 AM today, Govind Dev Giri arrived at the Teerth Kshetra Bhavan to meet with Champat Rai. This meeting follows yesterday's discussions where Krishna Mohan and Bajrang Lal Bagra also met with Champat Rai to address the ongoing situation.
Significance of the High-Level Meeting
This encounter between Champat Rai and Treasurer Govind Dev Giri Maharaj is particularly significant, as it occurs against the backdrop of persistent rumors regarding potential resignations within the leadership. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) have actively stepped in to manage the fallout amidst growing political pressure and opposition attacks. Although Gopal Rao is also present at the Teerth Kshetra Bhavan, he is not participating in the current session. The trust is under intense scrutiny to ensure a transparent and impartial investigation into the various claims of missing donations and valuable offerings.
Developments in the Theft Scandal
Parallel to the administrative meetings, the investigation into the theft of temple donations has made progress. Law enforcement officials have successfully obtained a one-day remand from the court for three accused individuals: Luvkush Mishra, Anukalp Mishra, and Karunesh Pandey. Police teams are currently interrogating these suspects to uncover the full extent of the theft and potential accomplices. As the trust prepares for upcoming grand events, there is an urgent need to address the concerns of devotees who have raised claims regarding missing high-value offerings.
