Security forces in Jalandhar, Punjab, have dismantled a major Pakistan-backed terror conspiracy, dealing a significant blow to cross-border subversive networks. The entire operation was reportedly orchestrated by handlers operating from foreign soil. Law enforcement agencies managed to apprehend one primary suspect in connection with the case. During the operation, authorities recovered a massive cache of 86 hand grenades from the possession of the arrested individual. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect retrieved these explosive devices from a dead letter box or designated drop location, instructions for which were directly provided by a handler based abroad. Investigators are currently probing the wider network to uncover all associated operatives and logistics.
The successful operation was executed through a joint effort by the Jalandhar Counter Intelligence unit and the Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar Police. Through this coordinated mission, authorities successfully unraveled an ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International terror module, which was being directed and managed by handlers stationed overseas.
