Punjab Police has achieved a major breakthrough against cross-border terror networks by neutralizing a high-profile conspiracy aimed at disrupting peace ahead of Independence Day. In a coordinated operation, Counter Intelligence Jalandhar joined forces with SBS Nagar Police to bust a Pakistan-backed ISI-sponsored BKI terror module, successfully averting a potential catastrophe.
Eighty-Six Hand Grenades Recovered Along With Arrest
During the raid and subsequent arrest, law enforcement authorities recovered a massive cache consisting of 86 hand grenades from the prime suspect. According to investigators, seizing this enormous quantity of explosive ordnance effectively thwarted a large-scale terror strike planned by anti-national elements in the region.
Foreign Handlers Directed the Operatives
Initial inquiries indicate that the arrested accused procured the explosive consignment from a dead drop located near Adampur in Jalandhar, acting on direct instructions received from handlers based abroad.
