The Jaipur Municipal Corporation issued a significant administrative order on June 28, 2026, reassigning 14 senior officers from the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) and the Rajasthan Municipal Service (RMS) to new zones and departmental branches across the city. Additional Commissioner Narendra Kumar Bansal signed the order, which was enforced with immediate effect. The corporation stated that the restructuring is intended to make the city's administrative machinery more efficient and accountable.
RAS Officers Assigned New Zones
Under the order, Manmohan Sharma of the Rajasthan Administrative Service has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Sanganer Zone. Dilip Singh will now head Vidyadhar Nagar Zone, while Shraddha Singh takes over as Deputy Commissioner of Murlipura Zone. Bijendra Singh has been placed in charge of Adarsh Nagar Zone. Manoj Sharma carries a dual burden, holding the post of Deputy Commissioner at Jagatpura Zone and simultaneously taking on additional charge of Jhalana Zone.
RMS Officers Handed New Postings
Among the Rajasthan Municipal Service officers, Pawan Kumar Sharma has been appointed Deputy Commissioner for both Jhotwara and Vaishali Nagar zones. Pawan Meena will oversee Kishanpol Zone, while Tanuja Salanki has been deployed to Hawa Mahal-Amer Zone as Deputy Commissioner.
On the departmental side, Seema Chaudhary has been assigned to Personnel (Headquarters). Mamta Nagar will handle Animal Management, Manisha Yadav takes charge of Health-Second, and Anita Mittal has been given the Store Branch. Karni Singh has been entrusted with the role of Deputy Commissioner for General Administration, Coordination and Event Management. Kavita Chaudhary will manage the Deputy Commissioner Planning-First portfolio along with the Chief Minister's Jan Sunwai (public grievance) Branch.
Some Officers to Join After Shahar Seva Shivir-2026
Three of the reassigned officers are required to complete their current departmental commitments before moving to their new posts. Mamta Nagar is to wrap up her present assignment by June 29, Manisha Yadav by June 30, and Seema Chaudhary by July 2, 2026. Each will join her new posting only after completing phase one of the Shahar Seva Shivir-2026 programme organised by their respective departments.
Goal: Faster Development and More Effective Grievance Redressal
The Jaipur Municipal Corporation expects this reshuffling to sharpen coordination between departments and accelerate development work across the city. The resolution of public complaints is also set to become more responsive under the new arrangement. The corporation has clarified that all 14 officers have formally been issued their new responsibilities with immediate effect, and this reorganisation is viewed as a meaningful stride toward delivering stronger, faster urban services to the residents of Jaipur.
