A shocking and shameful incident has surfaced from Mount Abu, one of Rajasthan's most celebrated tourist destinations. Late at night, an intoxicated tourist created a massive ruckus at the popular and bustling Nakki Lake. Arriving in a half-naked state, the individual began making obscene gestures in the public space. This behaviour caused immense discomfort and anger among the local residents and other tourists who were present at the scene. As soon as the Abu Parvat police station received information about the disturbance and chaos at the lake area, they swung into immediate action. A police team rushed to the spot, quickly bringing the volatile situation under control.
Strict Action Under Police Act
The authorities wasted no time in taking the heavily intoxicated tourist into custody. Taking a stern view of his actions, the police formally registered a case against the accused under Section 60 of the Rajasthan Police Act and placed him under arrest. Such undignified incidents during the peak tourist season cause significant damage to the reputation of the Mount Abu hill station. Following the commotion, local residents and the business community have strongly appealed to the administration. They are demanding regular patrols and stringent action against those who create a nuisance and spoil the peaceful atmosphere under the influence of illegal substances. Police officials have also sent a clear message that anyone trying to take the law into their own hands or disturb the harmony of the area will not be spared under any circumstances.
Massive Crackdown on Drug Smugglers in Hanumangarh
Meanwhile, the police department in Hanumangarh district has launched what is being described as their biggest ever strike against drug smugglers. Acting on the direct instructions of SP B. Aditya, a massive search operation was initiated early in the morning. Led by DSP Meenakshi, heavily armed teams conducted rapid raids at multiple locations in the Khunja and Sureshiya areas. To ensure no suspects could escape, teams from the Sadar police station, Town police station, Women's police station, and the RAC completely cordoned off the entire region. This extensive and sudden cordon and search operation has triggered severe panic among the local smuggling syndicates. The police department has stated that they will make major disclosures once the ongoing operation reaches its conclusion.
State Minister Slams Opposition in Jaipur
On the political front in Jaipur, Rajasthan's Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. He dismissed the recent protests organized by the opposition as nothing but political theatrics. Bedham directly accused Rahul Gandhi of attempting to systematically mislead the youth of the state. Drawing a sharp contrast, the minister pointed out that while paper leaks were a constant feature during the previous Congress administration, the current Bhajanlal government has successfully delivered entirely transparent recruitment drives. Furthermore, he praised the communication outreach efforts led by J.P. Nadda and highlighted the global achievements of the Modi government. Bedham concluded his remarks by urging the Congress to abandon negative tactics and instead engage in constructive politics.
