Prioritizing Station Order and Commuter Comfort

Railway officials emphasized that the primary intent behind this sustained punitive drive is not merely revenue collection, but establishing order, passenger safety, and clean surroundings. Unauthorized entry and indiscriminate littering routinely compromise commuter comfort and strain platform management. Regular enforcement operations are designed to deter repeat offenses, protect legitimate passengers from nuisance, and elevate general traveling conditions across the terminal.

Advisory Urging Commuters to Travel Responsibly

Authorities have urged the traveling public to purchase proper, valid tickets before undertaking any train journey. The railway administration also called on passengers to refrain from discarding trash across platforms or inside train coaches, avoid smoking in railway zones, and strictly respect designated spaces such as women-only compartments. Complying with established rail guidelines, officials noted, shields passengers from monetary penalties while helping maintain a safe, courteous, and hassle-free travel environment for everyone.

Strict enforcement at Kota station is good for compliance, but will this checking be limited to a month-long campaign or will such actions continue daily?

Arjun Mehta@arjun-mehta·55m ago

Got down at Kota station last month and could clearly see the strictness on the platforms. RPF and ticket checkers were stationed everywhere, making it tough for freeloaders. This kind of strict monitoring should be a norm at every major station to give regular commuters some relief from the mess.

Ravikash Gupta@ravikash·54m ago

Arjun, spot on. Does such strictness only happen during the festive season or does it continue all year?

Collecting fines is fine, but I doubt this will actually stop littering or ticketless travel. Usually, authorities crack down for a few days and then everything goes back to normal.

Rohan, you're right that things usually go back to normal after a while. But will these drives actually continue, or will officials slack off after a month?
