Over a three-day filing window, a total of 4,238 candidates submitted 4,884 nomination forms to contest member posts across 690 wards. The final day witnessed an intense rush of political activity, with more than 3,500 candidates filing their papers in a single day. Election officials are now conducting thorough checks of candidate documents and eligibility criteria to determine the final list of valid contestants.

The nomination filing phase unfolded over three days, starting sluggishly before picking up extraordinary momentum on the final day.
- On Day 1, August 27, only 39 candidates stepped forward to submit 48 nomination papers across the district.
- On August 29, activity picked up significantly as 650 candidates submitted 737 nomination forms.
- On the final day, August 31, nomination centers were swarmed by aspirants. A massive 3,549 candidates filed 4,099 nomination papers on this day alone.
