Several young children fell ill in Rajasthan's Sirohi district after consuming food served at a local Anganwadi center. The incident, which took place in Manora village, created immediate panic among the local community as multiple toddlers began experiencing severe health complications shortly after consuming their meals. The children suddenly started suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhea, causing immediate concern and anxiety among their families.
Urgent Hospitalization and Medical Treatment
As the condition of the children began to deteriorate rapidly, their anxious parents wasted no time and immediately arranged for transport. Utilizing an ambulance, the families rushed the affected children to the government hospital located in the main town of Sirohi. Upon their arrival, the medical team at the hospital's trauma center immediately initiated emergency primary treatment to control the distressing symptoms of food poisoning.
Following the initial medical intervention, the children showed signs of recovery and were subsequently shifted from the emergency trauma center to the specialized pediatric ward for continuous monitoring. Among those undergoing treatment at the medical facility are five identified children named Payal, Vyang, Harshita, Ayush, and Mahesh. Doctors overseeing their care have confirmed that all the admitted children are currently in stable condition, though they remain under close observation as further diagnostic examinations are conducted to find the exact trigger.
Parents Raise Serious Concerns Over Food Quality
The distressing incident has triggered serious questions regarding the safety and quality of the meals served at government-run Anganwadi centers. Family members of the affected children have expressed deep anger and disappointment over the apparent negligence. Parents stated that they send their toddlers to these centers in complete good faith, trusting the administration to provide healthy and safe nutrition. They lamented that they have no information regarding what specific food or drink was administered to the children on that day. Local authorities have launched an official investigation into the incident, and the exact cause of the illness will be established once the medical and laboratory reports are finalized.
